Aging and Sun-damaged Skin (age or sun spots)
As we grow older, we notice our faces going
through unfortunate changes, displaying wrinkles, droopiness,
and altered pigmentation. We attribute these changes to
aging in general. What we can really attribute most of
our skin problems to, though, is the sun. Of course, the
more aged a person is, the more exposure they will have
had to the sun.
To avoid wrinkles and the development of
age and sun spots, people should, first and foremost, stay
out of the sun. And of course, when you know you'll be
outside, sun block with a minimum protection of SPF 15
should be
applied
30
minutes in advance.
When you've already developed the effects
of aging and sun exposure, though, you do have options
for treating, diminishing, and removing these skin imperfections.
Our team offers a variety of treatments and can work with
you to determine which one option, or combination of procedures,
are most appropriate for your situation.
Laser and intense light methods of treatment,
involving minimal discomfort and downtime, include photofacial,
blue light therapy, and laser skin
rejuvenation. Other options for treating sun and age related
skin imperfections include microdermabrasion, Botox, and
chemical peels.
